About the EXIF Viewer & Remover
Image metadata is hidden information stored inside a photo, such as camera model, date taken, GPS location and colour profile. This tool shows a photo's metadata, dimensions, colour space and channel statistics, and removes EXIF and GPS data when you process or convert the image, so you can share it safely.

Frequently asked questions
- Why remove metadata from photos?
- Photos from phones often contain the GPS location where they were taken, the date and the device. Removing it before posting online protects your privacy.
- Is metadata removed automatically?
- Yes. Strip EXIF is on by default, so any image you process or convert is saved without its metadata.
- Are my images uploaded or stored?
- Each image is sent over HTTPS to the Image Tools server, processed in memory with the sharp image library and returned straight to your browser. Files are not saved, logged or shared, and nothing is kept after the response is sent.
- Is it free? Do I need an account?
- Yes, it is completely free with no sign-up, no watermark on your results and no daily quota. Open the page, add your images and download the output.
