About Unlock PDF
Unlock PDF checks whether a password opens a protected PDF, entirely in your browser, and reports the number of pages. Saving a decrypted copy without the password needs a dedicated engine that is not enabled yet, so the tool does not remove protection from the file.

Frequently asked questions
Can I remove the password from a PDF here?
Not yet. The tool confirms the password works but cannot save an unlocked copy until a decryption engine is enabled.

No. The PDF is opened and processed inside your browser with JavaScript, so the file never leaves your device and is not stored on any server.
